Below is a description of how each lighting technique is used and to what benefit.

Backlighting
Backlighting is the most copied of all of nature's natural effects. Backlighting is the art of emphasizing the structure of plant materials subtlety and elegantly. When properly executed, will turn flat surfaces into exciting three-dimensional creation.

Downlighting
The sun and moon provide the models for downlighting. Uplighting
